The Jura countryside, with its unique pastures, flower-filled meadows and arable land, is rich and fruitful. Thanks not only to this, but also to the passionate commitment and expertise of skilled producers and artisan foodmakers, a large number of ultra-tasty local products are produced in the canton. Some 450 regional products made by around 90 producers bear the cantonal label. The products are sourced from orchards, crops, livestock and dairy farms, beekeeping, vineyards and fish farms.
Labelled regional products are marketed and promoted under the cantonal brand Jura l’original. For producers, this brand gives them greater visibility and credibility when marketing their Jura specialities. And for consumers, the brand guarantees the provenance of the products and their local production.
